Next Monologue Jam, Feb 24, 2013!

We are riding the energy coming off our first Monologue Jam this past Sunday, Dec. 2, and quickly segueing into the next one, which will be February 24, 2013! I made a video announcing this and what it will be about. Click on the photo to the right under Weekly Video Blog, or if you don’t use Facebook click here.

I am going through a transformation in my own life. I fell in love with acting as a kid, went to school for it, and then moved out to NYC from the mid-west. It was after I was out here for a couple of years that acting got hard, well, life got hard, and I found myself creating excuses and reasons to do other things than be diligent with my acting. In truth, though, I need acting. I cannot survive in this world without being able to create a life for myself out of my true feelings — and it is in those extreme characters that we create a life out of the worst feelings and situations we have as humans. Acting is teaching me how to create the best life I can have for myself (with the help of a great coach).

For me, acting is everything and I am thrilled, excited and a little intimidated to explore the nooks and crannies of who I am and bring that to the stage. That is what this Jam is about. Calling all actors who are committed to doing the same :).

Email me at, if you want to perform in February. I am considering black-box style scenes and short plays as well, under 10 minutes. Also looking for producers: no financial investment needed; and Sponsors: gift a prize to an actor and we will promote your business!
