Submission Info for the Monologue Jam Reprisal Feb 24th!

Backstage Readers: There was an email address error in the Backstage posting. Here is the correct email address to submit your inquiries and application form: Georgiana@AlacrityProject.com. Also, please do not send a $15 contribution until we respond with an invitation for you to perform in the Monologue Jam. Apologies for the confusion!

Hello Friends and Fellow Artists,

Our Monologue Jam on Dec 2 at Arlene’s Grocery was a blast for both the performers and the audience, so we are bringing it back on Feb 24th, with the possibility of including scenes and performance acts if the interest is large enough.
Here’s the announcement:

Alacrity Project: Monologue Jam Reprisal!

Alacrity Project is seeking actors with monologues 4-6 minutes in length (with the consideration of scenes and performance acts as well, under 8 min.) for our Monologue Jam reprisal. Feb 24th 4-6pm at Arlene’s Grocery in the LES. There are 15 slots available, and a $15 contribution covers production costs for the professional HD video recording of your performance that you will receive. There will also be private feedback from the audience, a gift drawing for the artists, and opportunity to socialize and network. The application form is at http://wp.me/P1QWXq-bK

Our mission is to provide space for actors and artists to put up their work in front of audiences, and to grow a supportive and dynamic community of self-initiated artists. Send the application form and any questions to Georgiana@AlacrityProject.com

The stage at Arlene’s Grocery is provided to us through FirstLive Studio, which is the studio downstairs that records our performances. Keep in mind that we have access to the stage monthly, and possibly more often in the future, so if you want to workshop and/or produce your own show or an idea, talk to us about it!
